Position Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, ambitious individual interested in user research to be part of a small, committed and professional team.

The role is based in London. However, we offer the opportunity to work remotely. The team will meet in-person in central London a couple times a week and the candidate will be expected to join those meetings.

The candidate will also be onsite at the research venues when projects are taking place. Apart from that the candidate will be expected to collaborate and meet regularly via video chat and other digital means. Our research also takes place internationally and the role does include some travel. Currently this averages about 2-3 nights a month in a European city.

Ultimately we are looking for an enthusiastic User Researcher who will champion our customers’ and partners’ needs, to help create the best possible user experiences.

Your Role

As a user researcher, you’ll be focusing on questions that are best answered through
qualitative research methods, such as depth interviews and usability studies. You will generate insights based on rich data to inform product decisions, direction and strategy.

While the role is focused on qualitative research methods, knowledge of quantitative techniques would be an asset.

Your responsibilities
  • Working closely with the research team to ensure we’re asking the right questions and that research outcomes can be fed into on-going product development
  • Working with third party agencies to recruit the right people to participate in research
  • Collaborating with the team on all phases of research, including development of discussion guides, facilitating interviews or moderating usability tests, and analysing and sharing findings
  • Sharing insights regularly and visibly to various stakeholders and teams
  • Manage your own interviewing and usability testing resources, including equipment and testing software
Your experience
  • You are a recent graduate with the right skillset OR have been working in a similar role for a few years
  • Some experience in using depth interviews and usability study research methods
  • Ideally, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Sociology, or a related field
  • You are a self-starter that likes to take initiative to improve up on the status quo
  • Understanding/experience of quantitative research methods is a bonus!

  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Good grasp of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact productively with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Strong drive to collaborate and work in a team while also demonstrating independence and self-motivation
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Well-organised and efficient
  • An ability to prioritise work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times

Nice to have
  • Experience working in the iGaming industry
  • Experience of playing video games, mobile games, social games
